Sterling Frazer Associates
provides a complete line of
marketing services and
specializes in niche markets.
Sterling Frazer Associates began operation in 1995.  Its purpose is to assist businesses better understand
the markets they serve.  The philosophy behind Sterling Frazer Associates is to involve the consumer's
feedback in the design, development, production, and marketing of products.  SFA's founder, Brian D. Kon,
has personal ties to the disability community and was influenced at an early age as he watched family
members and friends with disabilities try to navigate a world that was mostly inaccessible to them and try to use
products that didn't seem to have the end-user in mind.

During his career, Mr. Kon has managed businesses in Canada and the United States; including the
Canadian Aging & Rehabilitation Product Development Corporation (ARCOR) and AZtech Inc. (funded with a
grant from the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research,  US Department of Education in
partnership with the State University of New York as one of 16 Rehabilitation Engineering Research Centres).
Both ARCOR and AZtech were ground-breaking research facilities that used consumer feedback to influence
industries around the globe about the needs of people with disabilities and the elderly.  Consumer focus
groups led by Mr. Kon have been used by governments and corporations throughout Canada,
the United States, Europe and Asia.

Mr. Kon has organized and participated in numerous international symposia with topics relating to aging,
disabilities, assistive technology and special environments.  He is one of the original authors of the Customer
Service Standard that is now part of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and he
currently sits on the Niagara Falls Mayor’s Advisory Council on Disabilities and the Accessibility Advisory
Committee for the Region of Niagara.

Sterling Frazer Associates continues to put the opinion of the consumer to the forefront of its research and
services.  Intricate knowledge of specialty markets and involving the consumer has become the hallmark of
SFA’s success and they now offers services representing the needs of many different niche markets.
